The City of Iloilo is continuously growing as the Regional Center for Commerce, Trade, Services, Education, and Innovation and has attracted more domestic and foreign investors considering its livability, excellent governance, strong public-private partnerships, and business friendliness.
It is now expanding its development through the proposed 200-hectare Land Reclamation Project in the city’s coastal areas, an ideal location for establishing new business centers and mixed-use real estate development projects, backdropped by the picturesque Guimaras Strait.
The reclamation project involves two major site developments: one, from the historic Fort San Pedro in the downtown area up to the Iloilo Fishing Port Complex in Molo district; and two, the coastal area of Barangay Bitoon in Jaro district, pulsated by a line of food enterprises that show Iloilo’s gastronomic culture and abundance of fresh seafood and local specialties.
The reclamation area builds on Iloilo City’s modern development, and it heralds its future as a globally competitive contemporary business hub of technologically advanced manufacturing, state-of-the-art commercial centers, and bespoke spaces that exhibit the region’s growing industry, serving the long-term vision of the Metro Iloilo and Guimaras economic growth area for sustainable employment.
The Iloilo City Government, known for its ease of doing business, is eager to share its tax incentive packages with investors, and it has an established investor assistance and facilitation system for business development through the Iloilo City Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) Office.
