Day 3 of the Smart Regions Seminar and Ceremional Signing Activity at Sam’s 21 Hotel, Iloilo City.
Today marks a momentous event and a significant milestone for the MIGEDC alliance: the Ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing between MIGEDC and UP Diliman for Smart METRO Project.
This represents a vital step forward in our journey toward building a smart and sustainable metropolitan through technologies and science-based systems. This combines MIGEDC’s strong alliance and commitment to regional development, and UP Diliman’s expertise in research and innovation.
Together, we aim to foster smarter urban planning, more advanced disaster risk reduction and management systems, enhanced economic connectivity and quality of life, and set a benchmark for Smart City developments in the Philippines.
The collaboration is a demonstration that technological advancement knows no boundaries. It is not confined within the corners of our Local Government Units, but it is shared among governments and communities for the benefit of all.
