Member-Local Government Units (LGUs) of MIGEDC together with the DOST Region VI, NEDA Regional Office 6 – Western Visayas, ISAT University – Public Information Office and West Visayas State University gathered for a two (2)-day Smart Metro Kick-Off Meeting and Pre-Implementation Workshop.

The Smart Metro Project, officially titled as “The Modern Geospatial and Collaborative Solutions for the Development of Smart Regions” which is implemented by UP Department of Geodetic Engineering / Training Center for Applied Geodesy and Photogrammetry and funded by DOST PCIEERD, intends to explore different scales and aspects of smart development, specifically the comprehensive and collaborative development of LGUs within a region.

Through this workshop, the project team intended to establish connections with the collaborators and work together in setting the direction of research to ensure that the project goals and objectives are met.
